Description

Bombus vagans has a long face, usually with black hairs and yellow at the base of the antennae. The first two abdominal segments are yellow and the remainder is bloack.

Nest Structure

Both above and below ground, frequently in forests, wetlands, or shaded areas.

Activity Period

Early spring.
