Description

Bombus terricola is a small bee with a short, round face. They have short tongues and are common nectar robbers. The rear half of the thorax will be black. For both males and females, the first abdominal segment is black, followed by two yellow segments, and the remaining segments are black. They will have a fringe of yellow hairs near the end of the abdomen that stick out beyond the black hairs covering the rest of the segment.
