Taxonomy

Baryscapus is a genus of parasitic wasps in the Eulophidae family, with 43 recognized species.

Description

Baryscapus are tiny parasitic wasps that look similar to the closely related genus Melittobia. They are parasites or hyperparasites on a wide range of insect hosts.

Nest Structure

Baryscapus were uncommon in Bee Atlas blocks, and we did not get any information about the nest building hosts.
