Results from resin and leaf analysis

This is a list of plants we detected in leafcutter bee nests using DNA barcoding. Plants detected most frequently were Roses, Dogwoods, Fireweed, Strawberries, and Potentillas.

Results from resin analysis show that solitary resin bees are most frequently gathering resin from a variety of conifer trees, but they also use resin from trees in the genus Populus.
