Bombus auricomus is a long-tongued bumble bee. They have short, even hair. The cheek or malar space is longer than it is broad and the upper side of the head is usually yellow. Queens range from 22-26 mm in length, females 16-19 mm, and males 13-21 mm.
Bombus auricomus nests are often found in open farmland and fields.
